CONCORD, N.C. -- As the Round of 8 in the NASCAR Cup Series playoffs begins this weekend, the No. 9 team is riding high on the strength of two wins in the past three races -- and three wins in the past 11.

All three of the wins came under unique sets of circumstances, and No. 9 team crew chief Alan Gustafson said finding Victory Lane through many different means can only serve as a benefit moving forward.

"It's good to win them whatever way you can, but I think as you win in different ways like that, it helps give you confidence for the future in how to execute those," the crew chief said.

Along with the different ways in which Elliott found Victory Lane, all three wins came on very different track types, from a road course at Watkins Glen to a short, one-mile track at Dover and then the 1.5-mile configuration last weekend at Kansas.

Watch Gustafson recap those wins and explain how the team can use them moving forward in the video above.
