Jimmie Johnson to Appear on ‘Live with Regis and Kelly’

NEW YORK (Aug. 2, 2004) – NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series driver Jimmie Johnson will make an appearance on Wednesday’s episode of “Live with Regis and Kelly.” Johnson’s visit to the show comes just three days after his latest victory, which came at Pocono Raceway on Sunday. He currently sits atop the NEXTEL Cup standings with four wins and 14 top-five finishes in the No. 48 Lowe’s Chevrolets. Johnson will be promoting the Hendrick Marrow Program’s cookbook, “FAST FOOD.” Other guests scheduled to appear on Wednesday’s program include actress Brittany Murphy and singer Kelly Clarkson. Check local listings for time and channel. “FAST FOOD” contains more than 150 recipes from members of the NASCAR community, including one from each of Johnson’s parents. Gary Johnson submitted the recipe for “Gary’s Gearhead Guacamole” and Cathy Johnson contributed the recipe for “Jimmie’s Jammin’ Potatoes.” The cookbook also features more than 120 full-color racing-themed photos.
