CONCORD, N.C. – Jimmie Johnson may be a seven-time NASCAR Cup Series champion, but the driver of the No. 48 Ally Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 had always wanted to take his turn behind the wheel of a Formula 1 machine.
Johnson got his chance when he and two-time Formula 1 champion Fernando Alonso swapped rides at Bahrain International Circuit last November.
