LONG POND, Pa. – Saturday afternoon, Hendrick Motorsports drivers competed in the NASCAR Cup Series qualifying session at Pocono Raceway. Jimmie Johnson led the way for the organization after qualifying sixth.

William Byron followed him in eighth and Alex Bowman qualified in 15th.

Due to damage on his No. 9 NAPA AUTO PARTS Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 during practice, Chase Elliott will start Sunday’s race from the rear.

Kevin Harvick won the pole.

The starting grid will be made official following pre-race inspection on Sunday.
