Rain Washes Out Nashville Time Trials

LEBANON, Tenn. (June 6, 2003) – Rain has altered the schedule for GMAC Racing as they prepare for the Trace Adkins Chrome 300 at Nashville Superspeedway. Inclement weather shortened Friday’s morning practice and rain canceled the afternoon qualifying session altogether. When qualifying is rained out, NASCAR rules call for the starting lineup to be determined based upon the current owner's point standings. Therefore, Brian Vickers and the GMAC Racing team will start Saturday night's event ninth, with Johnny Sauter driver of the No. 21 entry, on the pole for the Trace Adkins Chrome 300. Live coverage of the race will begin at 7:30 p.m. ET on the FX television network and MRN Radio.
