Busch Finishes a Disappointing 43rd at Atlanta

HAMPTON, Ga. (Oct. 26, 2003) – The Aaron’s 312 was supposed to have been the longest NASCAR Busch Series race of the season, but for Kyle Busch and the ditech.com Racing team, it was, unfortunately, their shortest. Busch, driver of the No. 87 ditech.com Chevrolet, qualified ninth for the event at Atlanta Motor Speedway, marking the fifth time in six Busch Series events that he has started within the top 10. Two laps after taking the green flag, Busch was forced to drive his No. 87 Chevrolet into the garage after experiencing engine difficulty. The problem was terminal and Busch was unable to re-enter the race. The 18-year-old was credited with a 43rd-place finish. Busch will see action for the final time this season when the Busch Series visits North Carolina Speedway on Saturday, Nov. 8 at 1 p.m. ET (TNT, MRN Radio).
