BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (Oct. 7, 2004) – Fans of Terry Labonte and the Kellogg’s Racing team now have the chance to “Race Like a Pro” and support the United States Olympic Team at the same time.
Consumers can purchase a remote control replica of the red, white and blue No. 5 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet that was driven by Labonte earlier this season in the Pennsylvania 500 at Pocono Raceway.
Visit kelloggsracing.com for information on how to order the limited-edition cars, which also are available through forms appearing on specially marked packages of Kellogg’s cereal. The cost is $19.95, which includes shipping and handling.
Through this program, Kellogg Company -- an Official Sponsor of the 2004 Olympics -- will donate up to $2.5 million to the U.S. Olympic Team by year’s end.
On Aug. 1, Labonte drove the specially designed Chevrolet Monte Carlo to a sixth-place finish. The race car featured the Olympic Rings on the hood and saluted American athletes as they prepared for the Summer Games in Athens, Greece.
