Hendrick Charity Ride Set for April 17

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (April 7, 2005) – Benefiting the Nazareth Children’s Home and the Family Center, the inaugural Hendrick Charity Ride will take place Sunday, April 17. The event will kick off at 9:45 a.m. ET in the overflow parking lot of the Carolina Place Mall, with the first motorcycle departing at 11 a.m. Participants will cross the finish line at the Hendrick Motorsports complex near Lowe’s Motor Speedway in Concord. The band Cloud 9 will perform following the ride and lunch will be provided courtesy of Quaker Steak & Lube and Pepsi. A raffle will also be held, with prizes including NASCAR race tickets, Oakley sunglasses, Fast Track Driving School packages, gift certificates and free hotel stays. The grand prize is a Suzuki Boulevard C-50 motorcycle. A $20 donation is requested for each motorcycle, with 100 percent of the proceeds going to charity. The Hendrick Charity Ride was founded to benefit causes supported by the late Ricky Hendrick.
