Kellogg Company Pays Tribute to Terry Labonte

FORT WORTH, Texas (Nov. 5, 2006) - Kellogg Company honored retiring Kellogg's driver Terry Labonte with a gift to Ronald McDonald House Charities. Two semi-trailers of Kellogg's and Keebler product, with an estimated retail value of $75,000, were donated for distribution to Ronald McDonald Houses in Texas. In addition, Kellogg's Corporate Citizenship Fund made a $25,000 cash contribution to the national Ronald McDonald House Charities organization. Jeff Montie, president, Kellogg North America, presented the gifts at Texas Motor Speedway prior to Labonte's final race on Nov. 5. Labonte drove 12 seasons for the Kellogg's team and had 137 top-10 finishes, 12 victories and the 1996 Winston Cup championship as the driver of the No. 5 Kellogg's Chevrolet. "Terry is clearly one of the all-time best drivers in NASCAR racing," said Montie. "He is known and respected for his drive, determination and fair play. These are values we share at Kellogg and that's why we have always been proud to see Terry behind the wheel of the Kellogg’s car." In 2001, Labonte founded the Roam for a Home Foundation in Corpus Christi, Texas, to benefit the Ronald McDonald House and other Coastal Bend charities. He leads an annual motorcycle ride that raises money and awareness for Ronald McDonald House Charities. "We know that Terry is committed to helping the children and families served by Ronald McDonald House Charities, so we are pleased to offer these contributions in his honor," Montie continued. "Everyone at Kellogg wishes Terry all the best in his future endeavors."
