Kyle Busch Raising Money, Awareness for Conservation Fund

CONCORD, N.C. (March 14, 2007) - The makers of Garden Safe® brand products, which include a natural and organic lawn and garden care line, are planning a pair of promotions to benefit the non-profit SeaWorld & Busch Gardens Conservation Fund. On March 15, Garden Safe brand products, the official lawn and garden partner of Busch Gardens, will kick off an in-store promotion at Lowe's locations nationwide. For each Garden Safe brand product purchased at Lowe's between March 15 and April 30, 2007, the makers of Garden Safe brand products will donate 50 cents to the Conservation Fund. The promotion coincides with the debut of a section at Lowe's stores dedicated to organic and alternative products, demonstrating the retailer's commitment to the environment. "The makers of Garden Safe brand products are proud to offer a natural alternative to traditional lawn and garden care products," said Eileen Schaeffer, associate brand manager for Garden Safe® brand products. "We're also very excited about our partnership with Busch Gardens and the SeaWorld & Busch Gardens Conservation Fund. Anything we can do to further help the environment, whether it's raising awareness or raising donations through these two promotions, we're happy to have the opportunity to do." While consumers can affect the donation level in Lowe's stores, Kyle Busch, driver of the No. 5 Garden Safe/SeaWorld & Busch Gardens Conservation Fund Chevrolet, will have the opportunity to raise the charitable contribution on the race track. For every lap Busch completes on the lead lap in Saturday's NASCAR Busch Series race at Atlanta Motor Speedway, the makers of Garden Safe brand products will donate $100 to the Conservation Fund. If he and the No. 5 team win, they will double the $19,500 donation to $39,000. "The pressure is on," Busch said. "I'm just happy I can be associated with a sponsor that is so passionate about the environment. My team has the opportunity to give back, and that's something to be proud of." The SeaWorld & Busch Gardens Conservation Fund will be showcased on the No. 5 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet throughout Busch Series competition this weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Featuring various endangered wildlife, the car demonstrates the fund's commitment to species research, animal rescue and rehabilitation, and conservation education. "The SeaWorld & Busch Gardens Conservation Fund is both grateful and inspired by the support of Garden Safe products," said Virginia Busch, president of the SeaWorld & Busch Gardens Conservation Fund. "This cause-related promotion will strengthen the Fund's efforts to save wildlife and wild places around the world, while also encouraging environmentally friendly gardening in backyards across the United States." Garden Safe products are not sponsored or endorsed by the SeaWorld & Busch Gardens Conservation Fund. As with all consumer products, it is important to follow all product guidelines and usage instructions.
