Charlotte, N.C. (Aug. 25, 2009) – One lucky individual will have the chance to drive home in Jeff Gordon’s personal 2008 Chevrolet Z06 Corvette following the November NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Texas Motor Speedway.
Each year, the Jeff Gordon Foundation hosts a special raffle to support the many programs dedicated to helping children, and this year the grand prize is Gordon's ride. Tickets purchased for this raffle benefit programs that fight against pediatric cancer as well as the Jeff Gordon Children’s Hospital and the Texas Chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities.
“So many children rely on the generosity of our donors to ensure that they will have access to the most promising research and treatment programs available,” said Gordon, driver of the No. 24 DuPont Chevrolet. “Ensuring that these children have the chance at fulfilling their dreams and one day winning their fight against cancer and other illnesses is a personal priority for me. I can only hope that our supporters will see this great need and take a chance - there really is so much to gain.”
Only 5,000 raffle tickets will be sold, and they can be purchased online for $100 each from now through Oct. 18. Gordon will present the keys to the new owner at the Dickies 500 on Nov. 8, at Texas Motor Speedway. Visit The Jeff Gordon Foundation for more information.
