HAMPTON, Ga. (Sept. 5, 2009) -- Three Hendrick Motorsports drivers earned a spot in the top 10 during Saturday's NASCAR Sprint Cup Series qualifying session at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon will line up on the second row. Johnson, driver of the No. 48 Lowe's Chevrolet, was the highest qualifier among his teammates and earned the third spot. Gordon, driver of the No. 24 DuPont Chevrolet, will roll off the grid in fourth.
Mark Martin, driver of the No. 5 CARQUEST/Kellogg's Chevrolet, scored his 13th top-10 starting spot of the season. He will start seventh.
Dale Earnhardt Jr., driver of the No. 88 National Guard/AMP Energy Chevrolet, will line up 31st.
