Hendrick transporters to join NASCAR hauler parade Thursday in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS -- The Hendrick Motorsports transporters will join in the NASCAR Hauler Parade Thursday, March 3 on the world-famous Las Vegas Strip to kick off NASCAR Weekend in Las Vegas. The 2011 edition of the NASCAR Hauler Parade will begin at 6 p.m. local time.

The No. 5 GoDaddy.com transporter, the No. 24 Drive to End Hunger transporter, the No. 48 Lowe's transporter and the No. 88 AMP Energy/National Guard transporter are scheduled to be among the colorful 18-wheelers that carry the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race cars and equipment to Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

The haulers will be staged at approximately 6 p.m. at the South Point Hotel & Casino on Las Vegas Blvd. Once all trucks are lined up, the haulers will move north on Las Vegas Boulevard. The haulers will proceed approximately five miles to Sahara Avenue before entering Interstate 15 to complete the journey to the speedway.
