Nickname: Colby, from [car chief] Ron Malec. No one really knows where he comes up with people’s nicknames, but he always thinks of something.
Hometown: Charlotte, N.C.
Education: I received my bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
Team/Job duties: Assistant race engineer on the No. 48 Lowe’s team.

Favorite Hendrick Motorsports paint scheme: The No. 48 Lowe’s/Jimmie Johnson Foundation Chevrolet that Jimmie Johnson drove at Auto Club Speedway in Fall 2008. We started from the pole that day and won the race, too.
