CONCORD, N.C. -- Just two months ago, Jimmie Johnson left Brooklyn, Michigan, with his first career win at Michigan International Speedway.
As the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series heads back to the Irish Hills track this Sunday, Hendrick Motorsports will certainly look for a repeat performance.
At Michigan in June, Johnson made his way to Victory Lane while teammates Kasey Kahne, Jeff Gordon and Dale Earnhardt Jr. finished fifth, sixth and seventh, respectively.
All four drivers qualifed in the top 13 and ultimately finished the race in the top seven.
Johnson's win was Hendrick Motorsports' fifth consecutive at the time, and gave the organization seven wins at Michigan.
In 198 starts at the two-mile speedway, Hendrick Motorsports drivers have led 2,273 laps en route to seven wins, 46 top-five finishes and 85 top-10s.
