CONCORD, N.C. -- The Challenger Round of the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup continues Sunday at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
The Loudon, New Hampshire, track is one of four where Hendrick Motorsports has nine wins, and Kasey Kahne was the last driver to win one for the organization in 2012.
The last time the drivers headed to the 1.058-mile oval, Kahne and Dale Earnhardt Jr. finished in the top 11.
Earnhardt's top-10 finish came after the driver of the No. 88 Chevrolet SS began the race 28th.
He jumped up 15 positions in just 23 laps, then cracked the top 10 for the first time 22 laps later. He ultimately took the checkered flag in 10th position.
Kahne was right behind him in 11th, while Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson finished 26th and 42nd, respectively.
Gordon ran out of fuel just before a green-white-checkered finish attempt and Johnson's No. 48 Chevrolet SS suffered a blown tire.
As a whole, Hendrick Motorsports has 40 top-five finishes and 65 top-10s in addition to its nine wins.
