CONCORD, N.C. -- Add prankster to Jimmie Johnson's ever-growing resume.
Tuesday night, Johnson's episode of "Repeat After Me" aired on ABC, and his segment closed out the show.
"Hey, Jimmie, here's what's going to happen," host Wendi McLendon-Covey explained through Johnson's remote ear piece. "We've hired a masseuse to give you a massage. They have no idea what's about to happen -- and neither do you."
Johnson was then told to introduce himself as "race car driver Jimmie John Jack Johnson" just before shouting "Vroom!"
Things only got stranger from there.
Before the segment aired, Johnson explained what it was like trying to keep it together during the hidden-camera show.
"To stand face-to-face with someone and try to keep this prank alive, trying to make eye contact and trying to sound authentic, it was tough," he said. "Because, I mean, I want to die laughing. Then I'm like, 'Man, I'm torturing this poor girl!'"
Though his ability to convince a masseuse to cluck like a chicken didn't make the final cut, take a look at how Johnson ended up getting an elbow and nose massage -- in addition to speed-eating a carrot -- in the video below.
