CONCORD, N.C. -- Just after the 2014 season came to a close, Dale Earnhardt Jr. let us know that he was building a treehouse.
Inspired by the show "Treehouse Masters," Earnhardt bought plans for the project for around $100.
"It's been a lot of fun and I can't wait to show it off once we get it done," he said at the time.
Well, it looks like it's just about finished.
Earnhardt said it will be usable year-round.
"It'll be in good shape," he said. "We're not going to let any critters get in there. It'll be sealed, doors will seal, all the windows will seal."
"It's good, tried-and-true, and it's not going to fall out of the tree," Earnhardt said.
For what it's worth, Gus approves.
