CONCORD, N.C. – Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s win accomplished quite a lot.

It gave his crew chief, Greg Ives, his first Sprint Cup Series victory. It moved him into a tie with teammate Jeff Gordon for the most wins at Talladega Superspeedway by an active driver. It virtually clinched a spot in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup.

But most importantly, it earned a donation to the Hendrick Marrow Program.

In recognition of Earnhardt’s win in his Bosch-equipped No. 88 Nationwide Chevrolet SS, Bosch Aftermarket North America is contributing a $1,000 donation to the Hendrick Marrow Program.

It’s the third $1,000 donation Bosch has made to the program, as Earnhardt’s victory was the third for Hendrick Motorsports on the season, adding to Jimmie Johnson’s wins at Atlanta and Texas.

“What a spectacular race and win for Dale Jr. that will once again benefit this wonderful charity as it works to establish greater support for those needing bone marrow transplants,” said Tony Pauly, director of advertising and brand management for Bosch Automotive Aftermarket North America. “Superspeedway racing provides an exemplary demonstration of the quality that goes into every Bosch part, and we’re thrilled that Hendrick Motorsports places its trust in our parts to get to victory lane time and time again.”

For more than a decade, Bosch Aftermarket has provided qualify parts – including oxygen sensors, spark plugs, injectors, alternators, coils, filters, fuel pumps, starters and pressure regulators – to multiple NASCAR teams including Hendrick Motorsports.

Bosch’s donation to the Hendrick Marrow Program will go toward the program’s goals of raising money to add more potential Donors to the Be The Match Registry – which helps patients find a bone marrow match -- in addition to helping patients pay for uninsured transplant costs.
