KANSAS CITY, Kan.—Three-time Kansas Speedway pole winner Kasey Kahne will roll of the grid in tomorrow night’s race from the front row. It is the second consecutive weekend the No. 5 Great Clips Chevrolet SS will start outside the pole position.
“We had a great Great Clips Chevrolet right there,” said Kahne. “We kept picking up each run and the last one was our best run. It wasn’t enough, but it was a really good lap and my best lap all day. I feel good about what we’re bringing tomorrow night.”
Defending race winner Jeff Gordon, driver of the No. 24 American Red Cross Chevrolet SS, completed all three rounds in Friday night’s knockout qualifying, earning the 11th-place starting position.

“We’ll fire our way through (the field) and grind it out like we always do,” said Johnson after his run. “I’m sure we’ll get a great finish out of it.”
Joey Logano captured the pole and will lead the field to green tomorrow night at Kansas Speedway.
