BROOKLYN, Mich. -- Belle Bell is a 78-year-old race fan. And last weekend, she got one of the experiences of her life.
She has been coming to Michigan International Speedway for more than 25 years, and after suffering a stroke last December, she was able to return to the track for last Sunday's event.
"You can look at me and tell who I love," Bell smiled, proudly wearing a Kasey Kahne hat.
And before Sunday's festivities began, Kahne made a surprise visit to see Bell and deliver a big hug.
"It was a neat experience," Kahne told FOX Sports 1. "I've seen what her experience is here at Michigan, how much she enjoys this place, the friends that she has. She's always been a fan of mine, when I was in the 9 car, the 4, the 5, and I think that's awesome."
Bell let out a big gasp as soon as she saw her favorite driver, who was just as excited to see her.
"It's a neat deal," Kahne smiled. "I'm glad she's here."
