CONCORD, N.C. -- Everyone remember's Jeff Gordon's "Brilliant Flames" No. 24 Axalta paint scheme.
Now that Dale Earnhardt Jr. has a brand new No. 88 Axalta Chevrolet SS, Axalta is asking for your help to pick a nickname for the unique scheme.
"I really love how bright and beautiful the car is," Earnhardt said when it was first revealed. "I think it will stand out on the racetrack really well."
The first phase of the contest is now underway and will run through Jan. 22. It's time to submit your ideas for the nickname, and a panel of judges will narrow down all of the submissions to three finalists.
On Jan. 25, the finalists will be announced and you will be able to pick your favorite nickname for the car before voting ends on Feb. 5.
The winner will receive a grand prize of two grandstand tickets to his or her choice of one of Axalta's 13 races in the 2016 season, two hot passes to the chosen race and a personal photo with Dale Earnhardt Jr. and the Axalta Chevy.
