CONCORD, N.C. -- Sunday's Carolina Panthers contest against the Seattle Seahawks was perhaps the biggest in Bank of America Stadium history -- that is, until this weekend's NFC Championship Game arrives.
And the Hendrick Motorsports drivers --- including Seahawks fan Kasey Kahne -- and crew chiefs were ready to take in the Divisional Round action.
Then, the Panthers jumped out to an incredible 31-0 lead at halftime. After celebrating the fast start, attention quickly turned to making sure Kahne was OK with his team's season hanging in the balance.
Jimmie Johnson, who last season served as the Panthers' ceremonial #KeepPounding drummer before a game, jokingly checked in with Kahne's crew chief.
Kahne's other teammates proceeded to chime in.
Of course, the Seahawks mounted an impressive comeback in the second half, scoring 24 points to pull within one touchdown of the Panthers.
Rodden joked that Kahne must've found better luck by changing seats.
But ultimately the Panthers were able to pull off the victory, moving to within one game of the Super Bowl and sending the Seahawks home in the process.
It made for an action-packed Sunday afternoon.
