CONCORD, N.C. – Chase Elliott is officially an All-Star.
And it’s all thanks to you, the fans.
At the conclusion of Saturday morning’s Sprint Showdown, Elliott was announced as an entrant in the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race via fan vote.
The #VoteChase movement succeeded in advancing the rookie to the exhibition race with a $1 million purse along with his three Hendrick Motorsports teammates.
"It's good to be in the race, obviously," Elliott said. "Fortunately we have some great fans."
This year’s All-Star Race, which is scheduled for 9 p.m. ET Saturday night following qualifying at 7 p.m. ET, features a brand new format designed to make it the most thrilling one yet.
