CONCORD, N.C. – The 2016 Jimmie Johnson Foundation Wellness Challenge kicked off this past weekend following Saturday’s NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race.
Runners and walkers took to the streets in Huntersville, North Carolina, Sunday morning for the first event of the challenge, the Jimmie Johnson Foundation 5K.
Hendrick Motorsports driver Jimmie Johnson and members of the No. 48 Chevrolet team were among the participants.
And Johnson even had a little father-daughter time during the family fun run.
Two more events remain in the JJF Wellness Challenge. Next on the schedule is the Jimmie Johnson Foundation Cane Creek Sprint Triathlon on July 26, held at Cane Creek State Park. The final event is the Jimmie Johnson Foundation Lake Davidson Sprint Triathlon on Sept. 11 in Davidson, North Carolina.
