CONCORD, N.C. -- This Memorial Day weekend, the entire NASCAR Sprint Cup Series field -- including all four Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolets -- will pay tribute to fallen service men and women.

And Thursday evening, LiftMaster and Kasey Kahne will also help pay tribute to fallen firefighters.

Once again, LiftMaster will host the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

The climb is a way to honor and remember the FDNY firefighters who lost their lives on Sept. 11, 2011. Each participant in the climb pays tribute by climbing the equivalent of the 110 stories of the World Trade Center.

Each individual tribute not only remembers the sacrifice of an FDNY firefighter, but symbolically completes their heroic journey to save others. Through firefighter and community participation, the stair climb can ensure that each of the 343 firefighters is honored and that the world knows that they will never be forgotten.

In an effort to grow participation and awareness of the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation -- which supports the families of our nation's fallen firefighters -- LiftMaster will provide a donation that will cover the cost of registration for the event.

Online registration runs from 2 to 5:30 p.m. ET today, and the stair climb begins at 5:30 p.m. ET.

Kahne will be in attendance at 4:45 p.m. ET for photos and autographs with the firefighters followed by a question-and-answer session with fans in attendance.
