CONCORD, N.C. -- In the midst of his rookie campaign, Chase Elliott has already made an impact on the track.

Among active drivers, his 11 top-10 finishes are the most through the first 15 races of a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series rookie season. And he is fresh off his best career finish -- a runner-up result at Michigan International Speedway.

Off the track, Elliott has made just as big of an impact.

For the second consecutive year, the driver was named one of the 50 most marketable athletes in the world by SportsPro Media.

The criteria for making the list was value for money, age, home market, charisma, willingness to be marketed and crossover appeal.

The ranking was based on the athletes' marketing potential over a three-year period.

Elliott is joined on the list by such stars as Lionel Messi, Cam Newton, Stephen Curry and Usain Bolt.

"Still only 20, he has healthy crossover appeal, appearing multiple times on the cover of a number of NASCAR publications," Elliott's entry on the list reads, "and he looks set to be the poster boy of stock car racing for years to come."
