CONCORD, N.C. -- On race day he can be found in his firesuit, helmet and gloves behind the wheel of the No. 48 Lowe's Chevrolet SS.
But how would Jimmie Johnson spend a race weekend at the track if he wasn't piloting a race car?
"For me, the perfect tailgating experience would be getting one of the campsites that's on the back straightaway overlooking the track so you have your seats built in," Johnson said.
Check out the six-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion's advice in the video above -- with an animated twist.
A few other necessities for Johnson's ideal tailgating experience:
1. A camper with seating on top for a perfect view of the race.
2. "Horseshoes or cornhole would be mandatory," Johnson added. "You need something for the drinking games."
3. A sound system. Johnson said some music to groove to is imperative, especially at night.
4. "Then you get into the food side," Johnson explained. First, he advises having something to hold your beverage of choice. And for the food? Johnson suggests a hot dog or hamburger -- "something for your other hand. Carrying a plate and your drink, that just doesn't seem too functional to me, so I'm thinking beverage and some kind of handheld option to eat."
