CONCORD, N.C. -- This weekend, Jimmie Johnson will take to the track at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in the No. 48 Lowe's Red Vest Chevrolet.
Lowe's -- who has sponsored Johnson all 15 years of his NASCAR Sprint Cup Series career -- is running a special Red Vest paint scheme for the third consecutive year as a way to pay tribute to Lowe's employees across the nation.
"We know we represent Lowe's every time we're on the track or every time I have the shirt on," Johnson said. "But to really have the Red Vest car and say 'thank you' to the employees that work in-store each and every day, there's just a lot of pride that goes with that."
In 2014 -- the first year the red paint scheme debuted -- Johnson drove the Red Vest Chevrolet to Victory Lane at Texas Motor Speedway and will look to do the same this weekend.
