CONCORD, N.C. -- Kasey Kahne has teamed up with PDQ (People Dedicated to Quality) to bring fans the "Karolina Kahnewich," a tasty, revved-up BBQ chicken sandwich.
The sandwich, designed by Kahne, will be served exclusively at all 11 PDQ locations throughout North and South Carolina, beginning Tuesday, Oct. 4, and ending Wednesday, Nov. 30.
Kahne visited a PDQ restaurant in Concord, North Carolina, Tuesday to debut the delicacy.
"It's going to be a really neat opportunity for myself and for the Kasey Kahne Foundation, which raises money for chronically ill children and their families," Kahne said. "To be with you guys is special. We appreciate it a lot."
Served on a toasted brioche bun, PDQ's all-natural chicken tenders are tossed in a revved-up barbecue sauce and topped with fresh coleslaw and pickles.
“Hopefully we’ll be able to do some great things and put some smiles on a lot of kids’ faces with this opportunity," Kahne said.
One dollar of every sandwich sold will be donated to the Kasey Kahne Foundation to aid in their effort of raising funds to support chronically ill children and their families.
“We are excited to announce our partnership with Kasey Kahne and the Kasey Kahne Foundation," said Nick Reader, PDQ CEO and co-founder. "Kasey is truly making a difference in the lives of children and their families and providing them with warm, unforgettable memories. Giving back is a part of who we are, and, along with the help of our guests, we could not be more proud to help raise funds for Kasey’s foundation and support the amazing work he does all over the world.”
