TALLADEGA, Ala. -- Chase Elliott advanced to the second and final round of Saturday's qualifying session at Talladega Superspeedway and recorded the fourth-fastest lap overall.
The driver of the No. 24 NAPA AUTO PARTS Chevrolet SS will lead his Hendrick Motorsports teammates to the green flag and will roll off the grid from the outside of Row 2.
Teammates Jimmie Johnson and Alex Bowman will line up nose-to-tail on the starting grid. The No. 48 Lowe's ProServices Chevrolet SS will start from the 17th position while the No. 88 Mountain Dew Take it Outside Chevrolet SS will line up directly behind in 19th.
Kasey Kahne, driving the No. 5 UniFirst Chevrolet SS, rounds out the organization's qualifying efforts by securing a 27th-place starting position.
Martin Truex Jr. earned the pole position.
The final restrictor-plate race of the 2016 season is scheduled for 2 p.m. ET on Sunday and will broadcast live on NBCSN, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
