CONCORD, N.C. -- Martinsville Speedway and Texas Motor Speedway are two very different tracks that contribute to the Round of 8 in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup.
With Jimmie Johnson's win Sunday at Martinsville, the No. 48 Lowe's Chevrolet SS team is automatically locked into the Championship 4 at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
HendrickMotorsports.com caught up with crew chief Chad Knaus and several team members in the shop following the win to discuss the race itself and how they're looking ahead to the upcoming races.
"The race was great," Knaus said. "It was a challenge, obviously. With short track racing, there's always bumping and banging and you've got caution flags that fly at weird times. I think Jimmie, the pit crew and all the guys did a great job. It was definitely vintage No. 48."
