DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- When the green flag drops on the Daytona 500, two Hendrick Motorsports teammates will lead the field to the starting line.
Chase Elliott, sitting on the pole for the second consecutive season, said he'll use lessons from last year's race to his advantage this time around.

Alongside Elliott in the outside pole position will be Dale Earnhardt Jr., who is making his return to the No. 88 Nationwide Chevrolet SS after recovering from a concussion that cost him the final 18 races of 2016.
