HAMPTON, Ga. -- Sunday at Atlanta Motor Speedway, Chase Elliott and Dale Earnhardt Jr. will roll off the grid side-by-side.
Elliott and Earnhardt both made the final round of Friday's qualifying session at Atlanta and will start 11th and 12th, respectively.
It marks the second consecutive week the teammates will take the green flag alongside one another, as they made up the front row for the Daytona 500.
Jimmie Johnson did not advance past the second round and qualified 18th.
"To be honest, this is a lot better than we've qualified the last two years, and we won the race the last two years," Johnson said. "We've got a practice session tomorrow and a race that I really love at a track that I really love."
Kasey Kahne will start Sunday's race 29th.
"We had a pretty good (Turns) 1 and 2, I felt good about that, and then I got into (Turn) 3 and it just jumped sideways," Kahne explained. "We didn't get a chance to go twice and kind of make up for my mistake."
Kevin Harvick captured the pole.
Sunday's race is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. on FOX, PRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
