RICHMOND, Va. -- Sunday at Richmond International Raceway, Jimmie Johnson led his teammates to the checkered flag with an 11th-place finish.
Kasey Kahne was the next Hendrick Motorsports driver to cross the finish line in 22nd.
Chase Elliott took the checkered flag in 24th after having to restart from the rear of the field following an uncontrolled tire during his final pit stop of the race.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. finished in 30th as a result of incidents earlier in the race that put him two laps down.
“It wasn't a great day,” Earnhardt said. “We did make a lot of adjustments and got a nice run -- I was pretty happy.”
Joey Logano captured the win.

KASEY KAHNE, NO. 5 AARP FOUNDATION/DRIVE TO END HUNGER CHEVROLET SS
FINISHED: 22nd
RECAP: Kahne started the race in 19th. He spent the first stage battling the handling of his No. 5 AARP Foundation/Drive to End Hunger Chevrolet SS, finishing Stage 1 in 23rd. Kahne took the green flag for Stage 2 in 22nd and gained one position to finish the stage in 21st. Shortly after the start of the final stage, a caution came out for debris on Lap 250. Kahne received a penalty for speeding on pit road and had to restart from the rear of the lead lap in 26th. On Lap 318, Kahne visited pit road for four tires, fuel and adjustments during a round of green-flag pit stops. Kahne did not pit during the caution on Lap 343 and received the free pass that put him back on the lead lap. He made a pit stop for four tires and fuel during the caution on Lap 377. Kahne restarted on Lap 381 in 14th. He fought to move forward in the field but ultimately finished 22nd.
CHASE ELLIOTT, NO. 24 NAPA BRAKES CHEVROLET SS
FINISHED: 24th
RECAP: Elliott rolled off the grid in 14th and battled to break into the top 10. He took the green-checkered flag for Stage 1 just outside of the top 10 in 11th. Elliott restarted the race in 12th and dropped back in the field to finish the second stage in 17th. Elliott made a pit stop during the stage caution and again during the caution for debris on Lap 250. He restarted in 12th and on Lap 278 entered the top 10. Elliott stopped for four tires and fuel during his first green-flag pit stop of the race. He continued gaining momentum during the latter part of the race, running in 12th with 40 laps to go. Elliott made a pit stop during the caution on Lap 377 for fresh tires and fuel. However, he had an uncontrolled tire that caused him to restart at the rear. Elliott did not have enough time to make up the track position he lost and finished 24th.
JIMMIE JOHNSON, NO. 48 LOWE’S CHEVROLET SS
FINISHED: 11th
RECAP: Starting Sunday’s race in 17th place, Johnson made his way into the top 15 for a 13th-place Stage 1 finish. Johnson restarted for Stage 2 in 18th and quickly went to work gaining track position. He took the second green-checkered flag in 12th. During Johnson’s pit stop following the Stage 2 caution there was an uncontrolled tire, causing the No. 48 Lowe’s Chevrolet SS to restart at the rear of the field. Johnson made another pit stop during the caution for debris and restarted in 18th. He continued to work his way through the field to make up for the speeding penalty. By lap 275, Johnson had raced his way back up to 12th. He was one of the few drivers that did not make a stop when most the field entered pit road for green-flag stops. He quickly gained track position and took over the second-place spot around Lap 320. Johnson finally made his stop about 10 laps later, putting him back in 23rd. Shortly after Johnson got back on the track, contact with his teammate, Earnhardt, caused a caution on Lap 343. Johnson made a pit stop for repairs. During the caution on Lap 356 he received the free pass, putting him back on the lead lap. Johnson made a pit stop during the next caution, gaining two positions to restart in 16th. He continued to fight until the end and finished just outside of the top 10 in 11th.
DALE EARNHARDT JR., NO. 88 NATIONWIDE CHEVROLET SS
FINISHED: 30th
RECAP: Earnhardt took the green flag in 12th, however, a speeding penalty during his second pit stop caused him to restart at the rear of the field. He finished Stage 1 in 20th. Earnhardt took the green for Stage 2 from 20th position. He had a consistent 100-lap run, finishing the second stage in 20th. Earnhardt restarted in 20th and began to find speed after the caution on Lap 250, moving up to 18th position. Earnhardt stayed out with Johnson during the first round of green-flag pit stops. He ran right behind Johnson in 3rd. After Johnson’s pit stop, Earnhardt and Johnson made contact, causing a caution on Lap 343. Earnhardt made a pit stop, however, shortly after the restart Earnhardt experienced a flat left-rear tire, causing him to spin out on Lap 356. Earnhardt continued to race, two laps down, and finished in 30th.
