CONCORD, N.C. – It’s race day at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Here’s a primer to get you prepared.
RACE RUNDOWN:
Today’s All-Star Race will be broadcast on FOX Sports 1, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
The race spans 70 laps. Stage 1 ends on Lap 20. Stage 2 ends on Lap 40 and Stage 3 ends on Lap 60, followed by a final 10-lap finish. For a breakdown of this year’s unique format, click here.
The race is scheduled for approximately 8 p.m. ET.
Just prior to the All-Star Race will be The Open, in which Chase Elliott will look to race his way into the night’s big event. STARTING POSITIONS:
Jimmie Johnson will lead his teammates to the green flag in fourth, Dale Earnhardt. Jr. starts in sixth and Kasey Kahne rolls off the grid in 13th.
Elliott will qualify for The Open today at 4:35 p.m. ET on FOX Sports 1.
