CONCORD, N.C. -- For the second consecutive stage at Charlotte Motor Speedway, Jimmie Johnson took the green checkered flag inside the top five.
In Stage 2, he continued his push forward, finding the runner-up position just 25 laps in.
He maintained that position throughout the remainder of the segment, which featured a lengthy red flag due to rain in the area.
