CONCORD, N.C. -- Jimmie Johnson and Cale Yarborough share plenty of history.
As a child, Johnson always looked up to the NASCAR Hall of Famer. And as Johnson himself joined the NASCAR ranks, he would be linked to Yarborough on multiple occasions.
First came his three consecutive championships, which tied Yarborough's record before Johnson set the new streak at five straight.
Then, last weekend a Dover International Speedway, Johnson tied Yarborough once again with his 83rd career NASCAR Cup Series win.
On NBC Sports Network, "NASCAR America" took a closer look at the ties between the two racers.
