CONCORD, N.C. – This week, the NASCAR Cup Series is headed to a “tricky” speedway and sophomore driver Chase Elliott is ready for the challenge.
In his first Cup Series outing at Pocono, Elliott raced his way to a fourth-place finish after leading the most laps with 53 and scored his 10th top-10 finish of the season.
This Sunday marks Elliott’s third Cup Series visit to the triangular-shaped track and hopes to lean on last years’ experience and learnings.
“It’s a fun track,” said Elliott, who will pilot the No. 24 SunEnergy1 Chevrolet SS this weekend. “It was pretty good to us last year, so I hope that’s the case again. I enjoy racing there.”
