LOUDON, N.H. – Jimmie Johnson led the Hendrick Motorsports qualifying effort in Friday evening’s session at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
Earning a second row starting position, Johnson will lead his teammates to the green flag in third.
Both Kasey Kahne and Chase Elliott also advanced to the final round of Friday evening’s qualifying session. Kahne will roll off the grid in sixth, followed by Elliott in 12th.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. made it to the second round but did not advance to the third and final round. He will take the green flag in 19th.
Kyle Larson captured the pole.
Sunday’s race is scheduled for 3 p.m. ET on NBC Sports Network, PRN and SIRIUSXM NASCAR Radio.
