CONCORD, N.C. – This weekend marks the second and final race at Pocono Raceway this season, and the track is going big in celebration.
Pocono is hosting a Fan Fest this Friday, July 28, featuring nine NASCAR Cup Series competitors. With qualifying for the NASCAR Cup Series falling on Sunday this year, the Pennsylvania track decided to add more fun-filled activities to the already loaded weekend.
One of the drivers in attendance will be Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Earnhardt is scheduled to participate in the Hungry Fan Throwdown, where drivers will coach teams through a cooking challenge, providing commentary throughout the competition.
Fan Fest runs from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. local time on the Infield Block Party Stage, with a block party to follow. Earnhardt’s Hungry Fan Throwdown is scheduled to run from 6 to 6:45 p.m. local time.
The night also features other activities with drivers such as Story Time, Name That Tune and a Lip Sync Battle.
Fan Fest is free for those who have Friday tickets and Sunday Cup Series tickets.
For those with tickets to the Truck Series race, admission is just $10 per car. The event is also open to the public with an admission of $20 a vehicle.
