I was invited to the @redskins Welcome Home luncheon. Fans, the team, past players. Tons of fun. We announced the partnership with @dalejrfoundation to remodel a library in an underserved community in the D.C. area. The Redskins mission to serve the youth of their community lines up with the objectives of our foundation perfectly. Exciting to be a part of this!

CONCORD, N.C. – We all know which football team Dale Earnhardt Jr. roots for every weekend.
On Wednesday afternoon, Earnhardt took part in the 56th Annual Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation’s Welcome Home Luncheon.
Founded in 2000, the football team’s foundation strives to make a positive and measurable impact in the lives of children in the community.
At this year’s event, a new partnership was announced with The Dale Jr. Foundation. The two organizations will come together to redesign a DC-area school library.
One school will be selected from the 140 schools participating in the Redskins Read Program. The winning school’s library will be chosen based on student accomplishments in the program. The redesign process will begin in the spring of 2018.
“This is a great opportunity to team up with the Redskins and be able to make a difference in kids’ lives,” Earnhardt said.
The Dale Jr. Foundation’s goal is to give underprivileged individuals – with a focus on youth – the resources to improve their confidence and education and the opportunity to achieve extraordinary goals.
Earnhardt believes the two foundations are a good match and align well with each other.
“Both of our foundations have similar missions,” Earnhardt said. “So we were really honored that they asked us to be a part of this program to go into a school in the DC area and help improve the educational resources for these students.”
