CONCORD, N.C. – The second round of the NASCAR Cup Series playoffs begins with the Bank of America 500 on Sunday at Charlotte Motor Speedway, and seven-time champion Jimmie Johnson is looking to score a win.
Although he noted the importance of gathering stage points, the driver of the No. 48 Lowe’s Chevrolet SS is still more focused on finding Victory Lane when the checkered flag waves.
“The simplest way to advance is to win, and that’s something we did really good last year is we were able to win early in the rounds,” Johnson said.
