CONCORD, N.C. -- Thursday evening, Alex Bowman joined his Hendrick Motorsports teammates on stage to reveal the full 2018 lineup of Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 race cars for 2018 -- including Bowman's No. 88 Nationwide Camaro.
Earlier this week, Bowman sat down with Nate Ryan for the NASCAR on NBC podcast to discuss several topics, including what he's been up to lately and if he's ready to hit the track in 2018.
"I definitely just want to get there and get going, just so I can mentally be like, 'OK, I'm fine, I didn't forget how to drive a race car,'" Bowman said. "From my side of things, I don't feel like I've lost much. I feel like I can still do it and I'm all good there, but I definitely do want to get back to racing, because making 10 lap runs in a wheel force car is definitely vastly different than running 500 miles on Sunday."
The driver will hit the track later this afternoon for the NASCAR XFINITY Series race in the No. 42 Chevrolet Camaro for Chip Ganassi Racing. He will make his return to the Cup Series in the 2018 Daytona 500.
