CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- It's race day at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Here's a primer to get you prepared. 

RACE RUNDOWN:

Today's race will be broadcast on NBC, PRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.

The race spans 334 laps. Stage 1 ends on Lap 90. Stage 2 ends on Lap 180.

The Bank of America 500 start time has been moved up one hour. The green flag is now scheduled for approximately 1:10 p.m. E.T.

STARTING POSITIONS:

Chase Elliott will start from seventh place. Kasey Kahne will roll off the grid in ninth. Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Jimmie Johnson will take the green flag in 23rd and 25th, respectively.

Jimmie Johnson most recently won the Bank of America 500 there last October and has an all-time record eight career victories at Charlotte. Johnson's Hendrick Motorsports teammate Kasey Kahne ranks second among drivers competing in the 500-mile event this weekend with four wins at Charlotte.
