CONCORD, N.C. – The Thanksgiving holiday may be over, but Champion’s Week is just beginning.
The 16 NASCAR Cup Series playoff drivers will be attending the annual event in Las Vegas, which kicks off this week. That includes Kasey Kahne, Chase Elliott and Jimmie Johnson -- and Dale Earnhardt Jr. will also be making a special appearance during the week.
The Park, located at 3782 S. Las Vegas Boulevard, will serve as the main headquarters for fans to enjoy all of the Champion’s Week festivities. The Park is open daily from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. local time. From autograph sessions to the annual Victory Lap, fans are in for a fun-filled week.
Here’s what to expect during Champion’s Week.
Tuesday, Nov. 28
NASCAR Driver Autograph Session
To kick off the week, NASCAR Cup Series playoff drivers will participate in a fan autograph session at the NASCAR Fan Headquarters at The Park. Elliott and Kahne are scheduled to sign for fans at 4 p.m. local time.
Champion’s Week Kickoff with series champs
The main kickoff event begins at 5 p.m. in the NASCAR Fan Lounge at Beerhaus. It will feature appearances by the champions of all three NASCAR national series, including XFINITY Series champion William Byron.
Appreci88ion, An Evening with Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Fans are invited to celebrate Earnhardt’s 19-year NASCAR Cup Series career. NASCAR and Nationwide will bring together fans, family, friends, key influencers in his racing life and a few surprise guests to join Earnhardt to tell stories at Rose. Rabbit. Lie., inside the Cosmopolitan. Doors open at 8 p.m. local time and the event is slated to run from 9 to 10:30 p.m. All proceeds benefit Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
Wednesday, Nov. 29
NASCAR NMPA Myers Brothers Awards Luncheon
The annual awards luncheon and industry gathering will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. local time in the Encore Theater at Wynn Las Vegas. The event is held every year to present individuals that gave outstanding contributions to NASCAR and will be live-streamed on NASCAR.com.
NASCAR Victory Lap
Fans will see all their favorite drivers participate in a “burnout” contest down Las Vegas Boulevard as they drive between the Miracle Mile Shops and the NASCAR Fan Headquarters at The Park. Drivers will also participate in a fan Q&A when they reach the fan headquarters. The Victory Lap starts at 2:30 p.m. local time and will be live-streamed on NASCAR.com.
NASCAR After the Lap
NASCAR After The Lap will take place at 8 p.m. local time in The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan hotel and casino. The celebration includes a Lee Brice concert and a live podcast taping. Proceeds from the event benefit the Vegas Strong Fund.
Thursday, Nov. 30
NASCAR Driver Autograph Session
Another driver autograph session will kick off the final day of Champion’s Week. Johnson is scheduled to sign for fans at 11:30 a.m. local time. The event will take place at the NASCAR Fan Headquarters at The Park.
NASCAR Cup Series Awards
The exclusive, black-tie celebration will be held at Wynn Las Vegas, where NASCAR Cup Series drivers will be honored. The red-carpet arrivals begin at 4 p.m. local time. The awards ceremony will air live on MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR radio at 8 p.m. ET. NBC Sports Network will begin coverage at 9 p.m. ET.
