CONCORD, N.C. -- Over the last few weeks, episode by episode, Nationwide has been releasing a Facebook video series leading up to Alex Bowman's 2018 NASCAR Cup Series season debut.
The final edition was a special one -- it featured the last driver of the No. 88 Chevy, Dale Earnhardt Jr., interviewing Bowman one-on-one.
The pair discussed everything from Bowman's relationship with his new teammates to his memories of racing against Earnhardt and the first time they ever spoke.
Earnhardt also asked Bowman if he's ever daydreamed about what it will be like to find Victory Lane behind the wheel of the No. 88 Nationwide Chevrolet Camaro ZL1.
“I’ve been daydreaming about that since about Lap 50 at Phoenix two years ago when I was driving the 88 car," Bowman smiled. "That was the first time that I was like, ‘Wow, I might actually have a legitimate chance of winning a Cup race here.’ That one got away from us, but it just makes me want to win that much more.”
