CONCORD, N.C. – Chase Elliott will be on extra duty at Atlanta Motor Speedway this weekend.

On top of competing in Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series race, Elliott will also have a role in Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series race – just not inside a car.

The driver of the No. 9 NAPA AUTO PARTS Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 will be in the broadcast booth as a guest analyst for the Atlanta Xfinity race for the second year in a row, joining the FOX NASCAR team.

“I did it last year, and honestly those guys are so good at it, especially (Adam Alexander),” Elliott said. “He does a really good job with it and he’s gotten used to having guests, I think, in the booth, so he does a great job of throwing it to you at the right times and not making it awkward, allowing me to give some input when I need to and keep my mouth shut when I need to as well.”

To keep an eye out for Elliott in the booth, tune into Fox Sports 1 Saturday at 2 p.m. ET.

“I do want to thank FOX for letting me get on the air and do that,” Elliott smiled. “I’m excited to hopefully not mess up their broadcast (Saturday). We’ll see.”
