DOVER, Del. -- Friday afternoon at Dover International Speedway, Chase Elliott led his teammates in qualifying with a top-10 performance.
Elliott was the only Hendrick Motorsports driver to advance to the final round, earning a sixth-place starting position for Sunday’s race.
Elliott's three teammates all advanced to Round 2 of the qualifying session. Alex Bowman will roll off the grid 15th, Byron will start 17th and Johnson will take the green flag 19th.
"Overall, pretty good day," Byron said. "17th isn't what we were looking for but it's a good rebound for us to get through this day and get to tomorrow and hopefully get some more practice."
Kyle Larson won the pole.
Sunday's race is scheduled for 2 p.m. ET and will be broadcast live on FS1, MRN Radio and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
