CONCORD, N.C. – Each Wednesday, a new edition of #MorningsWith airs live on the Hendrick Motorsports Twitter account, introducing fans to teammates all across the organization’s Concord, North Carolina, campus.
This week, we got to know Sheldon Holman from the team's show car department.
He has been all over the country to bring race cars to everything from commercial shoots to parades, and even small towns where fans might not expect to see the powerful machines up close and personal.
"That's one good thing about this job -- I've been to a lot of places that I probably would not have traveled to," Holman said. "One of the neatest events I did was last summer, I took one of our two-seat race cars to Aspen, Colorado, and Jimmie led the 4th of July parade."
Holman works on the show cars on top of the hill on the Hendrick Motorsports campus in one of the organization's original buildings.
And he said he can "absolutely" feel the history in the building every day he comes to work.
"I feel very fortunate to be the one working up here in this building," he said. "I've always been a big fan of history, and to see what this place has grown into from this is incredible."
